Bones & Harmony – Client Agreement

This agreement outlines the terms and conditions for your dog(s) attending daycare at Bones & Harmony. By signing below, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following.

1. Definitions

  • “Owner” refers to the person signing this agreement.
  • “Dog(s)” refers to the pet(s) listed in this agreement.
  • “Bones & Harmony” refers to the daycare facility and its staff.
  • “Daycare Services” refers to all activities, care, supervision, and handling provided by Bones & Harmony.

2. Health & Vaccinations

  • I confirm my dog(s) is in good health and free from communicable diseases.
  • I will notify Bones & Harmony in writing if my dog(s) has been diagnosed with or exposed to any contagious condition.
  • I will provide up‑to‑date C5 vaccination proof annually (including but not limited to Kennel Cough).
  • My dog(s) must be on a current flea, tick, and parasite prevention program.
  • Bones & Harmony may refuse entry if vaccinations or parasite prevention are not current.
  • Dogs showing symptoms on arrival may be refused entry (vomiting, diarrhoea, coughing, lethargy).

3. Medication & Medical Treatment

  • I will supply all medication with clear, written dosage instructions.
  • I confirm I have completed and signed the Medical Authorisation Form (In ProPet) before ongoing daycare begins.
  • In an emergency, I authorise Bones & Harmony to seek veterinary care from:
    Evervet East Melbourne
    263-265 Victoria St, Abbotsford VIC 3067
    or
    CARE Vet Specialist
    5 Hood St, Collingwood VIC,
    or the nearest available clinic.
  • I understand that every effort will be made to contact me before treatment where practicable.
  • I agree to pay all veterinary expenses in full upon collecting my dog(s) or directly to the veterinary clinic if required.
  • I understand that Kennel Cough can occur even when vaccinated, and Bones & Harmony is not responsible for associated costs.

4. Behaviour & Temperament

  • I will disclose any behavioural issues, including reactivity, aggression, anxiety, excessive barking, dominance, or mounting.
  • Dogs must be well‑socialised, non‑aggressive, and desexed if over 12 months of age (unless otherwise approved in writing by Bones & Harmony).
  • Bones & Harmony may conduct a temperament assessment or trial day before ongoing attendance is approved.
  • Bones & Harmony may remove a dog from group play at any time for safety reasons.
  • Bones & Harmony reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services for any dog displaying unsafe or disruptive behaviour.

5. Behaviour Management

  • Bones & Harmony uses safe, humane behaviour‑management methods,including but not limited to verbal corrections, redirection, water sprays, and temporary time-out areas.
  • I consent to these methods being used when necessary.

6. Safety & Facility Use

  • All dogs must arrive and depart on a lead and wear a collar during daycare.
  • Bones & Harmony operates a cage‑free, off‑leash environment where dogs interact under staff supervision.
  • I acknowledge the inherent risks of such an environment, including minor injuries (scratches, nicks, sprains), illness exposure, or behavioural incidents.
  • Staff may administer basic first aid for minor injuries.
  • I accept all reasonable risks associated with daycare attendance and to the extent permitted by law, Bones & Harmony is not liable for these risks.

7. Liability & Indemnity

  • I understand that Bones & Harmony is not liable for loss, injury, illness, theft, fire, escape, or other unforeseen incidents.
  • I accept full financial responsibility for:
    • Any injury my dog(s) causes to another dog or person
    • Any damage caused by my dog(s) beyond normal wear and tear
  • I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bones & Harmony and its staff from all claims, damages, or expenses arising from my dog’s behaviour or health.
  • Nothing in this agreement excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Damage to Property

  • I accept responsibility for any damage caused by my dog(s) to toys, bedding, bowls, or facility property.
  • Bones & Harmony may charge the reasonable cost of damages to my card on file and will provide an itemised receipt.

9. Bookings, Payments & Fees

  • Operating hours:
    Mon–Thu: 7:00 AM – 6:45 PM
    Fri: 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • A late fee of $30 per 30 minutes applies to pickups after closing time.
  • Cancellations require 12 hours’ notice; otherwise, the full fee may be charged.
  • Fees must be paid in advance or upon arrival.
  • If payment fails, Bones & Harmony may suspend services until the account is settled.
  • Any fees remaining unpaid for more than 90 days may be referred to a debt recovery service. The Owner agrees to be responsible for any reasonable costs incurred by Bones & Harmony in recovering overdue amounts.

10. Daycare Passes & Refund Policy

  • If my dog(s) becomes ineligible due to ongoing behavioural issues, I may receive a pro‑rata refund, calculated at $56 (rate at time of calculation) per used day, minus a $20 processing fee.
  • If my dog(s) falls ill or passes away, a pro‑rata refund may be issued with a veterinarian certificate.
  • Passes are non‑transferable and otherwise non‑refundable.

11. Abandonment Clause

  • If my dog(s) is not collected by closing time and Bones & Harmony cannot reach me or my emergency contact, my dog(s) will be cared for overnight at my expense.
  • If the dog(s) remains uncollected for 3 consecutive days, it may be considered abandoned and surrendered to a shelter or rescue organisation in accordance with applicable animal welfare laws.
  • I remain responsible for all outstanding fees.

12. Media Release

  • I consent to photos and videos of my dog(s) being taken and shared on Bones & Harmony’s social media platforms.
  • All media remains the property of Bones & Harmony.

13. Policy Updates

  • Bones & Harmony may update policies from time to time. Owners will be notified in writing and continued attendance constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

14. Entire Agreement

This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior verbal or written agreements.
