1. Health & Vaccinations

• All dogs must be up to date with C5 vaccinations (or C3 booster every three years).

• Owners confirm monthly flea and worm treatment.

• If fleas are detected, The Groom Room will perform a flea wash at a $25 surcharge.

2. Veterinary Costs

• The Groom Room does not accept liability for veterinary or medical costs arising during or after grooming.

• Any treatment required remains the sole responsibility of the Owner.

3. Safety & Handling

• Dogs must arrive on a lead for everyone’s safety.

• Please disclose any behavioural concerns (e.g., fear, anxiety, aggression, or special handling needs).

• Aggressive or special-needs dogs may incur additional handling fees.

4. Collection & Late Fees

• Dogs must be collected within one (1) hour of being contacted.

• A $30 surcharge applies for late pickups.

5. Owner Disclosures

Owners must advise The Groom Room if their dog:

• has allergies

• requires medication or medicated shampoo

• may or may not be given treats

6. Grooming Conditions

• Severely matted coats will not be brushed out due to pain and stress.

  • Light brushing may be attempted at $135/hour.

  • In most cases, matting will be clipped/shaved for the dog’s welfare.

• Please clearly communicate your grooming preferences (e.g., coat length, style).

• If preferences cannot be met due to coat condition or if we cannot reach you, The Groom Room will use professional judgment to complete the groom in your dog’s best interest.

7. Liability & Acknowledgement

• Grooming carries some inherent risks (e.g., minor cuts, irritation, or stress).

• The Groom Room always acts with your dog’s well-being in mind but cannot be held responsible for:

  • Pre-existing conditions

  • Reactions or issues arising from coat condition, behaviour, or undisclosed health matters
